Gateway Facility Renamed
Cove Youth FC took another exciting step to the future yesterday as they unveiled the new name for the Gateway facility they call home. 100s were in attendance as Donald Smith had the pleasure of announcing the facility will now be known as the Chris Niven & Richie Fraser Football Campus.
"Today is an extremely important day for Cove Youth Football Club but also for the families of both Chris and Richie.
After a number of years of planning, fundraising and coping with COVID 19 we are now finally at a stage where we have a clear vision of the future that we want to create here at our football facility.
The first stage of that visions is taking place today as we name this campus in memory of two lads who were involved with Cove Boys Club at the very early stages of our history in the 1990's, almost 30 years ago!" said Donald as he addressed the crowd.
Chris and Richie have meant so much to the club since their untimely passings and plans have always been in place to ensure their legacy and love of football lives on. Cove Youths development age groups entertained the crowds with a football tournament while the Ben Bradford 14 Charity raised funds through a bake sale. It was great to see many old and new faces of Cove Youth FC's 29 years there to pay respect and share memories.
The renaming of the facility is the first phase in an exciting period as the club moves forward with big plans for Cove and surrounding communities. All of which will be revealed over the next 12 months as Cove Youth continue to grow the love of football within the local community.

Willox Family make grand gesture with zip top sponsorship
6th February 2025
Cove Youth Football Clubs 2013s unveiled their new zip tops this week with a special training session at Balmoral Stadium. The tops, provided by Natalie Willox (Pictured) and the Willox Family (operators of the White Cockade Bar in Torry) wanted to help the club and were also aware of restrictions on what can be advertised on children's kit/training wear, so they asked that we continue to raise awareness of the BB14 Charity by having the BB14 Logo printed on the zip tops instead.
Bens Dad Mike was on hand to do the handover alongside Cove Rangers First Team players Connor Scully and Ryan Harrington to 2013s Coaches Simon Lynn and Robert Wilson. Mike Bradford was very grateful of the gesture to promote Bens Charity and continue to highlight the great work the charity has set out to do.
"The whole club is behind Mike and his efforts to help Cove and the wider community with the BB14 charity, so our children wear this logo with pride as we train and travel around the North East" - Simon Lynn

2015s invited to tour Pittodrie
12th February 2025
Cove Youth Football Clubs 2015s were treated to a visit at the home of football in the North East as they were given a tour of Pittodrie Stadium, of of their heroes Aberdeen FC.
They were greeted there by Donny the sheep, who helped get them kitted out with Flags and a chance to sit on the benches like many a player before them. The players had a day they will never forget and hopefully it wont be their last time gracing the pitch at Pittodrie as they grow up to be stars for the Dandy Dons!
A big big thank you to Aberdeen Football Club and 2015s Club Sponsor BME (https://www.bmeservicesltd.co.uk/) for making this possible for the team.
COME ON YOU COVE!!!
